Q:When should the property be purchased?
A:You can purchase the property either before or after the MM2H visa is endorsed.

If the property is purchased before the visa endorsement, it will be considered as meeting the requirement.

If the applicant chooses to purchase the property after the visa endorsement, they must complete the purchase within one year after the visa endorsement.

Joint ownership of the property is acceptable (as long as the approval letter includes the names of the main applicant and the relevant applicants)
Q:After the visa endorsement, can I withdraw up to 50% from the fixed deposit?
A:After the visa endorsement, the applicant is allowed to withdraw up to 50% of the fixed deposit principal for property purchase, education, medical expenses, and tourism activities in Malaysia.

If the property is purchased before the MM2H visa is endorsed, withdrawal from the fixed deposit will not be allowed.
Q:What is the validity period of the Conditional Approval Letter?
A:The validity period of the Conditional Approval Letter is only three months. This means that the applicant must complete the visa endorsement process within three months.

If the visa endorsement is not completed within three months, an extension can be requested from OSC, but it will be subject to approval based on the circumstances.
Q:Is it required to stay in Malaysia for at least 90 days every year?
A:For participants aged 25 to 49 (21 to 49 - for SEZ category), the minimum stay requirement of 90 days can be accumulated by the main applicant together with their spouse and dependents.

As for applicants aged over 50, there is no requirement to meet this minimum stay.
Q:Who pays the participation fees?
A:This is a one-time fee, to be paid by the applicant.

The spouse/dependents are not required to pay participation fee.
Q:How much is the processing fee, and who pays it?
A:Main applicant - MYR 5,000 (to be paid by the agent) Spouse/dependents - MYR 2,500 each(to be paid by the applicant)
Q:How much is the agent fee for the main applicant?
A:Platinum Category - MYR 70,000 Gold Category - MYR 55,000
Silver Category - MYR 40,000 SEZ Category - MYR 40,000

The above agent fee includes the main applicant's costs such as the government personal bond (MYR 1,500-2,000),government processing fee (MYR 5,000),5 years visa fees (MYR 2,500-2,750),medical examination fee (MYR 150-200) and the first year's medical insurance premium (basic package)
Q:Can spouse/dependents apply for MM2H?

Q:Do all participants need to undergo a medical examination?
A:Yes, after receiving the Conditional Approval Letter, the main applicant and their dependents must undergo a medical examination at a clinic designated by MOTAC.
Q:Are they allowed for long-term treatment in Malaysia?
A:Yes, participants are allowed to receive long-term medical care and treatment in Malaysia.
Q:Can dependents (children) study in Malaysia?
A:Yes, dependents (children) can study in Malaysia until tertiary education. As for whether the existing MM2H visa can be used or if a student visa is automatically granted, this usually requires specific consultation with the relevant authorities. As of now, there has been no clear instruction.
Q:What happens to the dependents' visas if the main applicant passes away?
A:The deceased's MM2H visa can be transferred to a next of kin appointed by the main applicant.
