Subclass 188 applications closed
The Victorian Government’s Skilled and Business Migration program will not be accepting new nomination applications for the subclass 188 visa after 5pm (AEST) Monday, 31 May 2021.
This will ensure that the Victorian Government can assess all subclass 188 nomination applications submitted before the Department of Home Affairs makes changes to the Business Innovation and Investor Visa requirements on 1 July 2021.
Victoria’s standard processing timeframe for subclass 188 nomination applications is 4 calendar weeks for subclass 188 Business Innovation and Investor streams and 1 calendar week for the subclass 188 Significant Investor stream.
Important information for subclass 888 permanent visa nomination applicants
All Victorian business innovation and investor visa nomination applicants are required to provide genuine personal contact information. You must also inform the Skilled and Business Migration Program of any changes to this contact information. This ensures that the Victorian Government can continue to offer personalised services to business and investor migrants.
Until 1 July 2021, the Skilled and Business Migration Program will allow subclass 188 visa holders to update their details by completing an online form.
From 1 July 2021, the Victorian Government will request evidence that the subclass 888 applicant or their spouse had contacted the Skilled and Business Migration Program within 1-month of arrival in Victoria. If this information has not been provided, the subclass 888 application may be refused.
